Turkish Daily News - Protests on Internet against Ararat Film

Protests have started against the movie "Ararat" which was produced in order to bring the "Armenian Genocide" claims into public awareness, on the internet.

FORSNET Information Technologies Company opened "www.ermenisorunu.gen.tr" and from the first day three million internet users visited the site. FORSNET stated that a protest campaign, against Walt Disney and Miramax which are the directors of the Ararat movie, has started.

On the site it said that Hollywood's famous film companies have become actors for this ugly game and think that the film should be protested against. They also prepared an english protest letter which is ready to be sent to Miramax and Walt Disney. You only need to write your name, surname and mail address to send this letter.

In the protest article it is stated that historical events should be judged without any prejudice, as a result of scientific research and historical events should be supported with historical documents and added: "The most reliable information can be received from the Ottoman archives. Before making such a film research should be made in the Ottoman archives which is open to everybody.
